"Utah's National Parks" by Ron Adkinson and published by Wilderness Press
Trip 7 - North Window, Turret Arch, and South Windows Trail Distance: 1.1 miles loop trail Elevation Change: 5160/5300 feet Suited For: Walk Difficulty: Easy Hazards: Negligible Introduction: A network of short but very scenic trails begins at the at the road-end in the Windows section of the Park. These popular trails can be arranged into a variety of interesting loop hikes that visit some of the best known and easily accessible arches in the park. More experiences hikers may wish to loop back to the trailhead from South Window via the so-called primitive trail, leaving the crowds behind and enjoying broad panoramas. June 3, 2003 I was happy to finally start some half decent hiking on the primitive trail where I discovered some of the finest sand that is wasted in the desert and a pain in the ass to walk through. The sand could be Utah's major export to all those lakes and beaches with the painful pseudo-sand. Here's the pics (Click on the picture to see full size): These are low res pictures. I can send you higher quality pictures if you want them
